Who’s Behind Urban HQ?

Based in Swansea’s former police station, we’ve reimagined an underused building into a vibrant space for collaboration, events, and everyday inspiration, mixing ethical business with imaginative thinking.

Urban HQ is one of many purpose-led ventures by regeneration specialists Urban Foundry, who are led by Swansea-born Directors Dr. Ben Reynolds, Tara Tarapetian and Laura Reynolds, and supported by a small team of passionate people.

Urban Foundry transforms empty spaces into thriving places, delivers meaningful community projects, and supports clients with strategic insight. All with a focus on connection, creativity, and social impact.

Our Story

Urban HQ began life in 2022 as a pop-up café, a welcoming space for good food, conversation, and community. Since then, it has grown into a thriving café, business hub, and event venue.

In 2025, we expanded further to offer private offices, creating a home for freelancers, creatives, and purpose-driven organisations.
